Alex Hotel & Spa

This hotel is perfectly located for the train station, and it’s not too far to walk to the Old Port, multiple restaurants and Le Panier. Our room was sufficient for what we wanted for a few nights stop before travelling home after a long break. Comfortable & quiet. Most of the staff were welcoming, just one exception, who reluctantly fetched us some milk so that we could make a cup of tea in our room…which we’d already been told would be possible. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and varied, and a good start to the day to take you through until evening meal.

Great location right next to the train station. Staff were super friendly, welcoming and helpful. Room was a bit small but ok, bed was comfortable and we had a big bathroom with a well functioning shower. Everything was clean and the ac in the room was working well so we were able to regulate the temperature to our liking. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to check out all the amenities (spa, terrace, etc.) but I’m sure that would have been nice as well.

Fantastic property with lovely feel and interiors. The hotel is based in several building surrounding a courtyard! We were upgraded to a room with a small cosy sofa area and large double bed. Bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was lovely! We used the spa and had the whole place to ourselves. Really wonderful! We were able to park outside the hotel which was so practical. Delicious breakfast.

If you have any reason to be near the train station, stay here. Efficient staff, steps from St Charles station, comfy beds, great AC, great WiFi, nice breakfast. If possible, spring for a terrace room, mine (room 810 on top floor) had a lovely view of the city and basilica although was up a final flight of stairs not accessible by elevator. I didn't hang out in the neighborhood at night but it was fine during the day. Seemed by far the nicest hotel in area.

A lovely boutique hotel seconds away from the station. It’s about 10 mins walk from the harbour/ other tourist areas. Some people might find it sketchy but it was fine for me as female traveller who is used to living in the city. I didn’t feel unsafe as you walk up a main road to return in the evening. Everything is near. Also a big comfortable room. Dressing gown, toiletries etc. A fantastic spa! Also massage ( I had an amazing one) such a nice treat at the end of the day. Also a cosy bar and a great breakfast. Beautiful courtyard, you can relax in morning or evening. Couldn’t ask for more.
